On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) Review

My first observation was that George Lazenby was terrible replacement for Sean Connery, and none of the cast was very good at all, especially Blofeld who was great in the previous 2 films, but it just looks like they hired an amateur for this. In the beginning there were a few action scenes. They were absolutely terrible and hard to watch. It looked completely fake, and you want to have good action in an action movie. The next few scenes weren't much better. I know its 1969, but all of the previous bond films had better action sequences and this action belongs in the 50s and could be okay as the first bond, but not the 6th. The action after the first half-hour or so ranged from decent to good, with decent being the car chase, it was exciting, but not awesome, and good being the ski scenes which were interesting to watch, but never quite became the excellent action that a bond movie should have. Most of the film was very boring, and I couldn't keep my focus for very long. Many dialouges were stretched out too long, and also, there was a lot of romance, I know bond is a womanizer, but it almost became a romance, and not an action movie. The ending was downright terrible, and enjoyable action movies can't have tragic endings. But, there were a few good elements of the film. Again, I enjoyed the ski scenes. The music was great, and perfect and I was happy each time it came on. The setting was nice. Unfortunately, the bad overweighed the good in this film, but I am excited to see Connery return for Diamonds are Forever.
Movie Rating: C-
Also, what's with these ridiculous outfits bond wears?

Check out this great music.
